You can also use any text editing program to open XML Schema files. If you use Windows, you can open XSD files using WordPad or Notepad. For Mac OS X, you can use Apple TextEdit, TextMate, or MacVim. For the Linux operating system you can use AbiWord, gEdit, or Vim.

XSD files that are associated with AutoDesk can be opened using AutoCAD, which is available as a free trial download on the AutoDesk website. AutoCAD is compatible with the Windows operating system version XP and higher.

If the XSD file is related to ICQ 6, you must use the ICQ chat program, which is available on the AOL website. ICQ is compatible with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X.
