File Extension VRO

VRO files are video files which are used to record streamed videos on DVDs. The files are similar to a VOB format and the related IFO format which defines chapters, audio tracks, and other elements used for streaming video. The VRO format allows you to record data to a DVD disk in real time.

VRO files are also commonly referred to as a DVD Video Recording Format and works in conjunction with IFO files to define the format and designate the chapters and audio tracks. The files are created using a DVD video recorder and contain a collection of still images which are captured into video and accompanied by recorded audio data. This means that VRO files are a container format since they facilitate the playback of video with audio included.

How to Open VRO Files

Since VRO files are created using a DVD video recorder, there are multiple applications and programs which will allow you to open such files. Try double clicking on the file to see if it automatically opens in a default application which supports VRO file types.
