File Extension PRX

The file extension PRX is associated with multiple programs and applications and various file types. Windows Media Player PRX files can also be opened using Windows Live Movie Maker which is preinstalled with some versions of the Windows operating system. Movie Maker is also available as a free download on the Microsoft website.

PRX files created with FoxPro can be opened using Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0, which is a database creation and management system. Visual FoxPro 9.0 is available on the Microsoft FoxPro Developer Center website and is designed for use with the Windows operating system.

If the file extension PRX is part of Apache Lucene, the file can be opened using Apache Lucene 4.2.1 which is offered under the Apache License v2.0. Apache Lucene is available as a free download on the Apache.org website and is compatible with the Windows operating system with Java 6 or higher installed.

PRX files which work with Primavera P3 can be opened using the Primavera Enterprise Portfolio Management system. Primavera is offered in a paid version on the Oracle website and is designed for use with the Windows operating system. If you do not have access to Primavera, you can open this type of file as an executable by changing the file extension from PRX to EXE. You can do this by right clicking on the file and then choosing Rename from the drop-down menu.
