File Extension FRO

The file extension FRO is associated with dBASE IV, which is database management system used by larger organizations for the purpose of organizing large amounts of data. dBASE provides a comprehensive application that allows you to track and analyze data, distribute forms such as invoices, and build a customize database that includes rich client and web applications which will run on 32-bit or 64-bit versions of the Windows operating system.

dBASE IV is only one version out of many versions of the dBASE environment which was originally created as a database management system for the early microcomputers. As dBASE was developed for Microsoft Windows, it met up against competitions from FoxPro, Paradox, and Microsoft Access. dBASE IV is a more advanced version of dBASE and is still widely used due to its capability to generate applications without having to use a lot of complex codes.
