If you have trouble opening an EML file in Windows using one of the above methods, you can open it in the Internet Explorer web browser since EML files are formatted in a similar fashion. To do this, right click on the file and choose Open With from the drop-down menu. Choose Internet Explorer from the submenu or click on Browse to locate it. You can also automatically open EML files in Internet Explorer by changing the extension from EML to MHT.
